I must say that there was a few minutes of dead air as I THOUGHT my phone was unmuted.

Tonight, we had Justin Schorr and his cohort MotorCop on talking with us about Kilted to Kick Cancer.

Kilted to Kick Cancer is a Non-Profit Organization incorporated in California and granted 501(c)(3) status as a Charity. Donations are deductible as charitable donations under IRS code, talk to your tax professional for details.

Prostate cancer will kill one man out of 36 every year. That’s a lot of fathers, brothers, uncles, teachers, Scout Leaders, Soldiers, etc.

One of the reason that we (the Kilted Army) wear kilts is that it is a guaranteed conversation starter. You see a man in a pink shirt and automatically think breast cancer. A mustache in “Movember” is another thing. A kilt…that’s something that makes people stop and take a second look.

One man in seven has a chance of getting diagnosed with Prostate CA… 1:7! One man in seven will find out the hard way–and it is NOT an old man’s disease!

One important thing to help prevent being one of those is to KNOW YOUR RISK FACTORS! Age, Family History, diet, etc. all play a part in your risk for getting prostate cancer. I’ll link it again to make sure you can read it.

Not all enlargement in the prostate is cancerous!

Here’s the link again.

Another important thing for a man to know (or his wife/significant other) is their PSA. Mine is 0.36, a very important baseline to start with. It’s done by a blood test (and if it’s low enough, you won’t have to get to know your doctor intimately).

Talk to your doctor if you happen to notice some of the symptoms of prostate cancer. There are many. I’ve linked them to make it easy.

GET KILTED!!! GET CHECKED!!!
